Our educational philosophy centers on intellectual activism–best represented by a shared commitment to engage in the appropriately strenuous and always joyful act of learning by interrogation. We believe that our students, and indeed all members of our community, thrive by thoughtful engagement motivated by palpable excitement about potential discoveries and new experiences.

Testing and experimentation in disciplines as seemingly diverse as science, math, the humanities, and art (visual and performing) elevate our individual and collective understandings, preparing us to engage in meaningful discourse with one another. Poly Prep’s educational vision is grounded in the core belief that our differences prepare and inspire us to collaborate in learning more–about ourselves, each other, and the world at large. It is also founded on the belief that sound thought must precede productive action, and that individual engagement is a prerequisite for collective good.
